  2. I hope everyone was able to talk with their Mexico missionary for Christmas. It took us about 25 minutes to figure out how to call ours back on a members telephone number. For future parents, I will share our process in case it will benefit someone. Because we used a cellphone, we needed to ADD the "International Long Distance Value Plan" (paid by the month for 1 individual phone, our cost was $3.99). Here is the dialing sequence we used: 011 + 52 + 9 or 10 digit telephone number including the area code. I believe some area codes in Mexico are 2 digits making it 9 and some are 3 making it 10. If you are calling from a landline or you are calling a cellphone in Mexico, you MAY have to add the number 1 after 52 (011 + 52 + 1 + 9 or 10 digit phone number). 011 is the US exit code; dial first for international calls made from the USA or Canada and 52 is the Country Code for Mexico. We can remove the monthly "International Long Distance Value Plan" and add it back on in May so we can speak with our missionary on Mother's Day.

  3. Was wondering how mail gets to other parts of the mission. I sent Christmas packages to my missionary before thanksgiving and he still has not received them. Now he says he doesn't know if they are even with the Zone leaders and that he won't know/get anything there until Jan. 14th or 15th? It hasn't taken any of our packages this long to get to our missionary. I see all the wonderful pictures of all the other zones having a great Christmas activity, but our missionary didn't even get his packages??? Is there a better way to send packages than how we are?

  8. Hey calling all moms out there! Please look up http://www.ldsmissionarymoms.com/ You can join a group and the sisters in that group will be able to answer your questions and concerns without bothering Pres. and Sister Wagner. Between all the moms on the group (and dads) there is a lot of knowledge available about what to pack, what our missionaries have needed or not and about packages! Please allow Pres and Sis. Wagner to do their work and join with us missionary moms!! Hope to meet you online! Sister Hermansen, MM to Kenneth Hermansen, Mex. Guad, 03/13-03/15
