Zone Leaders and Green Salsa . . .

Zone Leader Council #6 was held this past week.
I can't believe we have been here this long!! The time is really starting to fly by.
This month's council was so great with a very strong spirit.
President Wagner began the day teaching from the missionary manual about leadership and the need to step up and be great leaders.

This was followed by me teaching on using the Plan of Salvation as a teaching aid to help investigators work through their challenges.
I was followed by the assistants teaching about the missionary purpose and how to challenge people to be baptized.
And then President Wagner spoke again on Faith.
I loved all of it.

While all the teaching was going on in the living room, Sister H was busy in the kitchen cooking up milanesa . . .

Making another one of her beautiful salads . . .

And whipping up some homemade salsa. She made both a red sauce with the roasted tomatoes and tree chilies (very hot) and a green sauce with the tomatillos and jalapeños.
The green sauce was different from what I had seen before but was very good. She took the roasted tomatillos, jalapeños, cilantro, garlic, a touch of salt, a little sugar, lime juice and a couple avocados and blended them together.
It was still a bit too spicy for me, but the flavor was great.

And everyone had plenty to eat!

Afterward we took the mandatory pictures
(sorry the pictures are so bad. I had to take them with my phone and between that and bad lighting they didn't turn out very well. )

and loaded up their supplies and the mail.
My favorites are the ones who help with the cleanup.:-) Thank you Elder J!
These two were attending for the last time as they head home in a week.
And this is now how we roll. Since the area office took the van away we are taxi riders. In some ways it is more convenient though since all the taxis can come and take the missionaries at the same time rather than us having to take them to the bus station in shifts.

Now we are gearing up for the big Christmas Fiesta!!
We will celebrate on three different days in three different cities with three zones each.
We are looking forward to seeing all the missionaries and celebrating Christmas with them.
