Zone Conferences, Week 2, Day 2

One of the things we focused on during this zone conference was improving individual and companionship study. After talking about the purpose of individual study, and how to do it, we had a practice. First off, everyone was to study Alma 23:5-7 and Alma 53:16-22 looking for principles they could apply to help them be more like Helaman's Army. (And "We Will Bring the World His Truth" was the opening song.) After discussing what they found, we then had a second practice planning what to teach a fictitious investigator, focusing on her needs. Everyone individually prepared a simple outline for a lesson from the Plan of Salvation, Earth Life. Then the zone leaders taught how to work together to share what they learned and how to do companionship practices--following the Training Model (Demonstrate, Practice, Evaluate and Re-Practice.)

Here are some pictures from the "companionship study" time.

Another part of the conference that has been fun is practicing finding techniques. The zone leaders could choose what technique to practice. This practice involved performing service to those in need that you come across on the street. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Bonus Picture--Part of President Wagner's teaching--which I will explain another time. But want to bet who won?:-)
 The whole zone!
